Role Summary:
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-regional projects within the Datacenter Services Business Practice. You are expected to drive strategic execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, influencing executive stakeholders, owning full project lifecycle governance, and enabling the delivery of power and cooling solutions for mission-critical datacenter environments. This role requires deep programmatic thinking, high-level stakeholder influence, and the ability to lead matrixed teams across engineering, operations, and client-facing functions.
You will exhibit advanced, wide-ranging experience and in-depth professional knowledge to develop and resolve complex models and procedures. This includes accumulating concepts and company objectives into practical execution strategies. You will evaluate and navigate complex issues requiring in-depth assessment of variable factors and will determine methods and procedures on new assignments. You are expected to adapt your style and apply persuasive communication techniques that align with broader organizational strategies and enterprise-level messaging.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, high-impact projects across multiple datacenter regions or clients.
- Own project vision, strategy, and execution plan—balancing technical, financial, and operational outcomes.
- Partner with executive sponsors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define project objectives and success metrics.
- Translate business goals into structured project plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and budget forecasts.
- Manage change control rigorously and maintain executive-level communication for all scope or budget deviations.
- Lead matrixed project teams including engineering, commissioning agents, OEM partners, and service vendors.
- Mentor junior project managers and serve as a subject matter expert for project governance and execution.
- Develop and present executive dashboards, program briefings, and risk assessments to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage multimillion-dollar budgets, cost controls, margin expectations, and subcontractor SLAs.
- Conduct post-mortems and institutionalize lessons learned to improve program delivery.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of datacenter infrastructure including UPS, PDU, CRAC, generators, and switchgear.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale infrastructure projects with high complexity and visibility.
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on project delivery execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across executive and technical levels.
- Fluency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Tableau.
- Ability to evaluate dynamic project conditions and proactively adapt strategies accordingly.
- Strong understanding of financial oversight, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; PMP or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 12-15+ years in project management with 5-7+ years managing large-scale or multi-region datacenter projects.
- Travel: Up to 50% travel depending on project site needs and customer engagement.
- Direct experience with critical infrastructure vendors such as APC, Vertiv, Schneider, or Eaton.
- Knowledge of commissioning standards such as ASHRAE, Uptime Institute Tier certifications, and NFPA protocols.
- Leadership in delivering both retrofit and greenfield datacenter deployments.
- Prior experience in managing SLAs, KPIs, and continuous improvement in a service delivery model.
