Key Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will serve as the technical authority for all mechanical and thermal systems in hyperscale and AI-factory data centers. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with deep expertise in HVAC, chilled water systems, CDUs, immersion cooling, and thermal containment solutions. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide stamped drawings, guide mechanical engineers, and drive innovations in energy efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design of mechanical systems, including chilled water loops, CDUs, air handling, containment, pumps, and cooling towers.
  • Provide stamped mechanical drawings for permitting and compliance.
  • Mentor and reviewthe work of junior mechanical engineers.
  • Evaluate advanced technologies, including immersion and liquid-to-chip cooling.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE TC9.9, local building codes, and NFPA standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical and civil teams on integrated designs.
  • Drive sustainability metrics, including PUE and WUE improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with stamping authority in the U.S. (multi-state preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical systems for critical facilities.
  • Expertise with CFD tools, 6SigmaDCX, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Strong technical leadership and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
