About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement/SCM Intern with strong analytical rigor, cross-functional communication skills, and hands-on experience in data engineering, financial analytics, and human‑centered AI research. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives at the intersection of data science and business strategy, and who is passionate about converting complex data into actionable insights for procurement team
Key responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Analytics
- Design, maintain, and optimize data models, procurement workflows, and relational database structures.
- Build automated data validation and error‑reduction pipelines using Python, SQL, and JavaScript, improving reporting reliability and operational efficiency.
- Develop analytics dashboards and performance reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, translating insights into clear metrics for leadership.
Business Intelligence & Financial Insight
- Analyze financial, and operational data to forecast trends, quantify drivers, and support strategic planning across large business units.
- Conduct ad‑hoc research and variance analysis to improve forecast accuracy and identify high‑impact improvement areas.
AI, Research, & Human‑Centered Computing
- Apply emerging AI best practices to improve internal data tools, automation features, and user experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, HTML
- Tools/Platforms: Oracle APEX, SQL Developer, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics
- Competencies: Data modeling, financial analytics, forecasting, dashboarding, automation, AI research literacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing and supporting operations for large organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
