- Abnehmen. FAT beim Hersteller, SAT vor Ort, Testpläne, Protokolle, Mängel bis zur Behebung
- Sicherheit verantworten. Brandschutz, Störfallkonzept, Aufstellung und Abstände, Arbeitssicherheit
- Genehmigungen treiben.
? Was du mitbringst

About Decade
Who We Are
Founded in 2024, Decade Energy powers the electrification of road transport by developing, finance, and operate the infrastructure - grid upgrades, battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging, and optimization software - that enables fleets to electrify.
Our mission is simple: make electric the most competitive option for road transport.
With roots in the Volta Trucks journey and firsthand experience supporting Europe’s largest fleets, our team brings deep expertise across energy, mobility, and project finance. Backed by leading climate investors, we’re committed to helping build the next generation of energy-ready transport sites.
In France we proved the model works. €22M in funding, 100+ sites under development, 1,500+ sites screened across Europe, +1 GW in the pipeline.Germany is next. Our mission is to become the benchmark and gold standard for depot electrification. We are building the team that gets us there.
Who We Serve
We support transport operators and real estate owners, two groups navigating the challenges of grid capacity, financing, and rising energy costs.
What We Deliver
- Securing long-term power supply by guaranteeing grid connection and capacity for future electrification needs.
- Creating new revenue streams by monetizing EV charging services, and installing BESS on unused site space.
- Removing investment barriers by covering the full cost of electrification infrastructure.
- Delivering plug-and-play charging with seamless AC or DC installation aligned to fleet deployment.
- Lowering electricity costs through hardware, software and contract optimization.
This end-to-end approach empowers our customers to build the Depot of the Future: a modern, resilient, cost-optimized logistics site ready for full fleet electrification.
? The Role
- You turn a grid confirmation into an energy hub that runs.
- Storage, charging infrastructure and PV sit behind one grid connection and have to work as a single system. You co-design it, define the technical scope with suppliers and EPC, make the components play together and stand on site during commissioning.
- Then the site becomes a kit for the next ones.
- You own the technical infrastructure development in Germany. Together with the product and infrastructure teams in France, you steer design offices, suppliers, expert consultants and EPCs.
? What you'll do
- Co-design the system. Storage, inverters, PV, charging infrastructure, transformer and transfer station at logistics sites, together with the Solution Engineer
- Technical supplier assessment. You review the tech specs and make sure suppliers and EPCs meet our quality standards and requirements
- Integrate the hardware. Storage into the plant controller, connection to EMS and control centre, Modbus TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, OCPP, plus remote control for direct marketer, Redispatch and Paragraph 14a
- Accept the work. FAT at the manufacturer, SAT on site, test plans, protocols, defects tracked to closure
- Own safety. Fire protection, incident concept, siting and clearances, occupational safety
- Drive permitting. Steer external design offices and expert consultants, hold the dates alongside the grid track
- Build the kit. The first site becomes the standard for the next ones
? Your first 90 days
- You know our current projects, the components and the standards from France
- The technical design for the first German site is set and aligned with Paris
- Supplier conversations run through you, including specification and interfaces
- You have the plan for acceptance, safety concept and permitting, with dates that match the grid track
? What makes you successful here
- Three to seven years of practice. Technical project management, commissioning or system integration of medium-voltage plants, preferably BESS or charging infrastructure
- Plants that run. At least two you have taken to commissioning, with your own responsibility for schedule and result
- Technical depth. You specify yourself and push back on a supplier in detail when needed
- The rulebook in hand. VDE-AR-N 4110 and the certification process for generation plants are familiar ground
- Site over schedule. You are there when it matters. Willingness to travel within Germany
- Fluent German and English at working proficiency
- High degree of ownership. You are looking to step up in your career. Here you own your area end to end and keep improving it
? Why Decade
- You decide how we build. Technical authority for the German market, from the first site
- Grow into the lead. As the team grows, you grow into the technical lead for our energy hubs in Germany
- Responsibility earlier than elsewhere. Decisions that sit two levels above you elsewhere are yours here
- Grow with the company. Scale the German market from the first site to market leadership, backed by the core team in France
- Work in a strong team. You work with a highly motivated team of serial entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals
- Market-based compensation
