Technical Operations Manager

About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to oversee and support the daily functions of our Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, Logistics, and Project Coordination teams. This individual will serve as a critical link between these departments and leadership, driving process optimization, technical oversight, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, Logistics, and Project Coordination teams.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, accountability, and performance tracking.
- Establish KPIs and goals to support individual growth and team success.
- Facilitate problem resolution and implement corrective actions.
2. Process Optimization
- Develop and refine scalable processes for project delivery and execution.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee quality control processes, standards, and documentation.
3. Technical Oversight
- Review and validate customer proposals for accuracy and optimal solutions.
- Ensure compliance with UL certifications and required testing protocols.
- Strengthen the technical expertise and skill set of the team through training and support.
4. Customer Relations
- Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Build trust-based relationships with client design teams and supply partners.
5. Business Development Support
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical guidance and support.
- Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
- Promote and uphold the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in renewable energy solutions.
Qualifications:
- Business or Technical degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in operations, technical management, or related leadership roles.
- Strong background in engineering, preconstruction, or technical support.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both internal (team/leadership) and external (clients/partners).
- Experience in renewable energy, solar, or related industries is a plus.
