This is an in-office role based at our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead lab automation and software development across PLCs, databases, and test equipment to ensure reliable, future-ready testing systems.
- Own calibration activities and ISO 17025 compliance, guiding technicians, improving procedures, and strengthening in-house calibration capabilities.
- Design, set up, and troubleshoot instrumentation and DAQ systems for temperature, pressure, flow, power, torque, and mass measurements.
- Develop and maintain backend and frontend software using C++, C#, and SQL to automate data processing, reporting, and traceability.
- Drive lab engineering projects end to end, from equipment specifications and CapEx planning to validation and operational handover.
- Solid experience in HVAC or refrigeration lab environments, supported by a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Advanced hands-on PLC programming skills, especially with Siemens S7-1200/1500 (TIA Portal), and confidence explaining your logic and design approach.
- Strong software development capability in C++ and C#, including integration with SQL-based databases.
- Expert-level instrumentation and calibration knowledge for temperature and pressure, with working knowledge of flow, power, and DAQ systems.
- Ability to work hands-on in a lab setting, communicate clearly across functions, and lead technical work with structure and ownership.
