Working alongside experienced engineers, data specialists, and fellow interns, you’ll contribute to meaningful R&D projects that strengthen our aero‑thermal capabilities and support smarter energy systems.
This is an on-site position based in Tallahassee, FL. However, we are open to considering remote candidates with the right experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build aerodynamic and air‑solid models from compressor concepts to support rapid design iteration
- Run high‑fidelity CFD simulations to evaluate performance and understand complex flow behavior
- Compare simulation results with laboratory test data to validate and refine designs
- Use Python or MATLAB, including AI/ML approaches, to analyze results and enable data‑driven insights
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team on simulation tasks and broader R&D assignments
- Enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Turbomachinery, or a related field (final‑year Bachelor’s students will also be considered)
- Hands‑on experience or coursework in CFD using tools such as ANSYS, CFX, or Fluent, plus basic CAD modeling
- Working knowledge of Python or MATLAB and interest in applying AI or machine learning to engineering problems
- Solid foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
- Ability to work 20 hours per week and collaborate effectively in an onsite or remote environment
