HVAC and Weatherization Installation Technician

We are seeking experienced and skilled HVAC and Weatherization Technicians to join our team. As an HVAC and Weatherization Technician, you will be responsible for performing AC tune-ups, duct sealing, house weatherization, and blowing attic insulation for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, building science, and energy efficiency measures. Will train the right candidate with the right skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine AC tune-ups to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.

• Conduct thorough inspections of ductwork and perform necessary sealing to reduce energy loss and improve system efficiency.

• Perform weatherization services to enhance the energy efficiency of homes, including air sealing and insulation installation.

• Blow attic insulation to improve thermal performance and energy savings for clients.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, providing recommendations for repair or replacement as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used for each job.

• Educate clients on the benefits of energy efficiency measures and provide guidance on best practices for maintaining their HVAC systems and home comfort.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and building codes during service calls.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Technical training or certification in HVAC systems, building science, or energy efficiency.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair preferred but will train candidate with the right skillset

• Knowledge of building science principles and energy efficiency measures, such as duct sealing and weatherization techniques.

• Experience with blowing attic insulation and understanding of insulation materials and installation methods.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
