Position Overview

The Solar Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and excellent troubleshooting skills to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing solar systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar PV systems and implement appropriate repairs.
  • Conduct electrical testing to ensure systems meet safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  • Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of their solar systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety protocols during all work activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in electrical systems or renewable energy preferred.
  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with electrical testing experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety protocols related to solar installations.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs.
  • Ability to document work clearly and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.
