Project Finance Associate

We are a fast-growing energy firm focused on renewable power development, with expertise in solar and energy storage. The team works with utilities, corporate clients, and community partners to deliver clean energy solutions across the U.S., from early-stage development to long-term operations. We are growing and looking to add a Project Finance Associate to the mixture.

Position Overview
The Project Finance Associate will be responsible for supporting the financial analysis and structuring of projects within the renewable energy sector, particularly focusing on solar and storage initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective project financing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in financial modeling and analysis for renewable energy projects
• Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Engage in project financing activities, including equity and debt fundraising
• Conduct risk assessments and manage financial risks related to projects
• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial records and compliance
• Participate in M&A activities and financial due diligence for new projects
• Prepare analyses related to tax implications and project structures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in project finance or related field
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis
• Knowledge of renewable energy sectors, particularly solar and storage
• Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in risk management and financial reporting is a plus
