Cula builds the digital infrastructure for the global carbon removal industry. Our software helps facilities run more efficiently, track operations in real time, and generate verifiable carbon removal certificates. By connecting operators with certifiers, verifiers, and financiers, we make carbon removal transparent, trusted, and scalable.

We're a growing team based in Potsdam/Berlin with remote members across Europe, North America, and the APAC region. We're makers at heart, focused on building high-quality software, delivering a best-in-class customer experience, and solving the real-world challenges our customers face every day. We believe that doing this well will help the carbon removal industry scale to the level the planet needs.

Why this role

You've spent your career being the person who solves the hard technical ticket — you read the API docs, trace the data pipeline, and don't stop until you've found the root cause. We want that instinct pointed at climate infrastructure that matters. As our first dedicated Technical Customer Success Manager in EMEA, you'll be the technical backbone for our regional customers, from their first integration through day-to-day support and long-term success.

What you'll do
  • Own support for our EMEA customers: from general questions to deep technical troubleshooting of machine data integrations, platform configuration, and data issues, across multiple channels, in German and English.
  • Lead onboarding projects end-to-end: technical discovery calls, platform configuration, sensor and machine data integration, and on-site training.
  • Use AI agents to build small automations and scripts that solve real customer problems. You don't need to be a software engineer, you do need to be comfortable directing AI to write, test, and ship code for you.
  • Review technical documentation from customers and their equipment vendors, as well as carbon-removal domain documents like project descriptions, monitoring plans, and lifecycle assessments. You figure out how systems fit together, where emissions come from and where the integration possibilities are.
  • Maintain a knowledge base that helps customers help themselves, and feed the patterns you spot back to our product and engineering teams.
  • Support account health through regular check-ins - this is a smaller part of the role; most of your time goes to hands-on technical support, general support, and onboarding.

What you bring
  • Experience in technical support, solutions engineering, or a similar technical, customer-facing role for a SaaS or technical product.
  • Comfort reading technical documentation (APIs, sensors, data models) and reasoning about how systems connect.
  • A builder's instinct: you've automated something before, even informally, and you're excited to use AI tools to do a lot more of that, faster.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills; fluency in German and English.
  • A genuine interest in mitigating climate change, you want your technical skills to go toward something that matters.
  • Bonus: exposure to carbon removal, climate tech, or sustainability.

What we offer
  • Work alongside one of the most skilled software engineering teams in climate.
  • A team that cares deeply about the mission and each other.
  • High ownership from day one: you drive outcomes, not just tasks.
  • An execution-focused culture where speed and quality go hand in hand.
  • Direct exposure to customers and facilities shaping the future of climate tech.

We hire for talent and drive, not checkboxes. If this role excites you but you don't meet every single requirement, we still want to hear from you.

Cula is committed to building a diverse team. In line with the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and applicable EU law, we particularly encourage applications from candidates who identify as non-male, to help us balance gender representation at our company.
