Electrical Engineer – Fusion Energy
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the design and implementation of a cutting-edge facility in the energy and medical technology sector. This role offers ownership across all phases of the electrical engineering lifecycle—from design and procurement to commissioning and start-up.
What You’ll Do
Lead electrical engineering design efforts, including preparing specifications, calculations, drawings, and test plans.
Support new construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operations of advanced energy and medical isotope production systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (I&C, Process, Structural, Nuclear, etc.).
Partner with procurement to source and qualify electrical equipment.
Provide technical guidance to contract engineers and oversee power supply system design.
Support construction teams through RFIs, engineering change requests, work packages, and document reviews.
Ensure compliance by working with electrical inspectors and relevant authorities.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in low-voltage power design.
Strong knowledge of NEC, Life Safety Code, Building Codes, IEEE, and IEC standards.
Hands-on experience with conduits, cable trays, cable selection, terminal/connection drawings, and panel design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electrical design within regulated environments (NRC or similar).
Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain one in Wisconsin).
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design tools.
Familiarity with SCADA or PLC systems (Allen-Bradley preferred).
Greenfield project experience—from design through construction and startup.
