Technical Support Specialist - EV Charging
We’re Hiring: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Crossley Scott is representing a growing Irish EV Charging company, and we’re looking for an experienced EV Technical Support Professional to help keep Ireland’s EV charging infrastructure running reliably.
This is a hands-on technical role combining EV charging, electrical equipment, software platforms, networking and customer support. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing issues, supporting customers and field teams, monitoring our charging network and ensuring problems are resolved quickly and effectively.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support for EV charging equipment and associated software platforms
- Diagnose and resolve charger, connectivity and user-access issues
- Monitor live charging networks, alerts and equipment performance
- Manage technical support tickets, supplier tickets and RMAs
- Carry out site visits, equipment setup and fault repairs when required
- Support customers remotely with troubleshooting and corrective procedures
- Work with engineering, product, suppliers and field-service teams to resolve complex issues
- Maintain stock and equipment inventories
- Support customer onboarding and provide basic product training
- Document solutions and contribute to our technical knowledge base
- Work to agreed SLAs, KPIs and service standards
- Participate in an on-call rota when required
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT or a related technical discipline
- 4–6 years’ experience in technical/customer support, ideally within EV charging, IoT, telecoms, energy or a related sector
- Good understanding of electrical systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with ticketing platforms such as Salesforce, Freshdesk, Zoho or HubSpot
- Knowledge of EV charging standards such as OCPP, CCS and CHAdeMO is desirable
- Understanding of cloud platforms, APIs and IoT protocols is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working to SLAs and KPIs
- A practical, hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving technical problems
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to customer/project sites
