Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, ESG Strategy & Reporting, the Analyst, ESG supports the delivery of Crombie’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy through data management, performance analysis, reporting, disclosure coordination and project support . The role is responsible for the day-to-day administration and quality control of ESG data and reporting systems, preparation of portfolio- and property-level analysis, coordination of annual and quarterly reporting processes, and maintenance of the documentation and controls required to support accurate and reliable ESG disclosure. The Analyst works collaboratively across departments to ensure consistent, accurate, and transparent ESG reporting that supports internal decision-making, communications, and alignment with leading ESG standards. Additional duties of the Analyst, ESG include but are not limited to:

ESG Data, Systems & Performance Analysis

  • Serves as the primary day-to-day administrator and internal point of contact for Measurabl , ensuring consistent use, data governance, and integration with internal systems.
  • Coordinates the collection, validation and analysis of environmental data within Measurabl, performing regular quality-control reviews to support accuracy, completeness and alignment with internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Conducts portfolio and property-level performance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across portfolio-wide ESG performance areas, and initiatives providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Tracks data coverage, estimates, exclusions and other reporting limitations to support transparent internal and external disclosure.

GHG Inventory & Assurance

  • Supports the preparation of Crombie’s annual greenhouse gas inventory, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
  • Maintains supporting calculations, emission factors, organizational and operational boundary documentation, and acquisition and disposition records in accordance with established methodologies.
  • Coordinates documentation and evidence requests associated with external assurance of ESG information.
  • Tracks assurance findings and coordinates the resolution and documentation of identified data and process issues, escalating material matters as required.
  • Maintains a clear audit trail supporting reported ESG metrics and disclosures.

ESG Reporting & Disclosure

  • Supports in preparing quarterly ESG reports and scorecards for the Board and Executive Team, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinates the annual ESG reporting process, including inputs, timelines, data, supporting documentation and collaboration across departments and external partners.
  • Supports alignment of ESG reporting with applicable standards and frameworks (e.g., SASB) and other requirements.
  • Produces and maintains regular internal reports summarizing ESG performance, key metrics, and progress on initiatives.
  • Continuously enhances ESG reporting processes, identifying opportunities for automation, improved efficiency, and data visualization.
  • Supports external ESG ratings, benchmarking exercises and disclosure submissions through data preparation, documentation and evidence management.
  • Supports the maintenance and organization of the internal ESG SharePoint site, ensuring information is current, accurate, and accessible to internal teams.

ESG Program & Process Coordination

  • Partners with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Development, People & Culture, etc.) to ensure accurate data capture and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborates with Communications and Investor Relations to validate ESG data and statements included in corporate communications, investor materials and other external disclosures.
  • Stays informed of emerging ESG trends, frameworks, and disclosure requirements, summarizing potential implications for consideration by the Director.
  • Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

Compensation

We are committed to offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive total rewards package. Base salary/hourly rate is thoughtfully determined based on a range of factors, including location, role scope and level, relevant education and training, experience, skills, and qualifications, while ensuring internal equity and alignment with market data.

Expected salary range: CAD $61, 500 - $90,000 per annum.

The Profile we are looking for

  • Post-secondary degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in ESG reporting, sustainability data analysis, environmental performance analysis or a related field.
  • Experience working with energy, water, waste and/or greenhouse gas emissions data; real estate experience is considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Experience using ESG reporting systems, particularly Measurabl, and proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and disclosure standards (i.e., SASB).
  • Familiarity with SBTi standards and GRESB frameworks are considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
  • Collaborative and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
