About you
You’re a strategic marketer and storyteller who knows how to shape clear messages, build brand momentum, and create campaigns and event activations that normalise climate and energy solutions. You’re confident working across marketing, content, media, partnerships and events, and enjoy bringing creativity, structure, energy and clarity to a growing organisation.
You write well, think clearly and are comfortable turning ideas into relatable narratives and engaging impact. You enjoy working with different people, from agency partners to executives, government, sporting bodies, not for profits and community members, and you adjust your style with ease. You care about community, climate and energy solutions, and purpose-driven work. You believe sport can inspire positive change. If you like or have experience in cricket, that’s a bonus but it’s not a requirement. What matters is your ability to connect with people, tap into the emotional connection of cricket, strengthen a growing brand and tell stories that connect.
With 8–10 years’ experience in marketing, events, communications, and brand, you’re ready for a role where you can shape strategy and get hands-on with delivery.
About us

We’re focused on the sustainability of cricket by supporting clubs to adopt climate and energy solutions and inspiring fans to take climate action in their everyday lives. We partner with businesses, government, community, cricket and sporting bodies, not for profits, philanthropy, councils and community to deliver climate and energy programs alongside national engagement campaigns and events. Cricket has 8 million fans in Australia and 2.5 billion globally, giving us a unique opportunity to make climate and energy solutions accessible and widely understood.

Creative challenge
To help us understand how you think, write, and approach marketing and communications in a purpose-driven organisation, please complete one of the activity options below and include with your resume to hello@cricketforclimate.com by 30 Jan 2026.
Option 1: Tell the story
Choose one of the following and write a 200–250 word public-facing narrative that explains what it is, why it matters, and why cricket is a powerful platform for climate action:
- The Solar and Battery in Cricket Clubs program
- A recent Cricket for Climate partnership or activation
- Cricket for Climate’s “why”
You may include links and alternative forms of content if you wish.
Option 2: Build a Mini Campaign
Imagine we want to run a lightweight national campaign that celebrates cricket clubs taking simple everyday action on climate. In your chosen format, outline:
- A big idea (1–2 sentences)
- Target audience
- Channels
- Three content ideas
- One simple measure of success
Option 3: Your personal impact story
It’s the beginning of 2027 and Cricket for Climate has had a stellar year reaching cricket fans and audiences and normalising climate and energy solutions through simple, authentic storytelling, marketing and fan activation. We have been recognised for this impact and, as the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager, you have been asked to speak about how you did this. Consider the following questions as you prepare:
- How did storytelling connect with cricket fans and hard to reach audiences
- What messages resonated most
- What did we do alone, what storytellers and influencers did we work with
- What campaigns did we run to reach grass roots communities and get everyone on board with the practical steps they can take on climate and energy solutions
- What products did we package up
- What were the standout moments?
