Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Control and Testing In-Charge to lead quality assurance across our production process. This role ensures that all raw materials, in-process blends, and final products meet our internal specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control protocols for raw materials and final products.
- Oversee and conduct sampling and testing of products.
- Operate and maintain QC lab equipment.
- Record, analyse, and report quality data; identify trends and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure consistency in raw material and finished goods.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects or product failures and implement corrective measures.
- Interface with production, R&D, and external testing agencies for continuous quality improvement.
- Manage documentation required for certifications, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Train production staff on in-line inspection techniques and basic quality checkpoints.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in quality control or testing in manufacturing (boards, wood, composites, or materials preferred) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Indian and international standards (IS, ASTM, EN) for relevant products.
- Proficiency in data logging, documentation, and basic statistical quality control (SQC).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a plant environment and taking ownership of lab processes.
