F4S has a laboratory dedicated to soil microbiota analysis based on NGS DNA sequencing.

Position Summary :

Food4Sustainability CoLAB (F4S) is a not-for-profit collaborative laboratory dedicated to innovation in sustainable food production and consumption. The F4S mission is to achieve carbon neutrality and reduce environmental impact through innovative agricultural technologies, education, and collaborative projects.

Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :

  • Background or strong interest in communication, journalism, sustainability, environmental studies, or related fields
  • Experience in content creation (written, visual, or multimedia) is valued
  • High motivation to work in a team and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Autonomy, initiative, and good time and priority management
  • Strong storytelling mindset, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English; Portuguese is a plus

Tasks:

  • Support the development of content for Food4Sustainability projects and programs, namely the HealthySoil4Life Summer School
  • Create and adapt content for different platforms (social media, website, newsletters)
  • Document and communicate activities related to the Summer School and other initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, articles, and dissemination materials
  • Support communication campaigns and outreach activities
  • Contribute to capturing and sharing impact stories and project results

Work location:

The internship will be conducted in a blended format, combining remote work with onsite activities at Penha Garcia, Portugal (26 to 31 July, for the Summer School immersive week).
