Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on the identification, conceptual engineering and analysis of energy efficiency projects in large industrial sites.
You will work on projects focused on the metering and monitoring of utilities, utility conversion processes, industrial boilers, steam systems, compressed air, power generation, CHP, heat recovery, water recycling, HVAC refrigeration and renewable technologies.
The successful candidate will support team managers and department heads to deliver projects through technical support, project management, and client relationship building.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
- Project Delivery - Assist on-site energy efficiency audits, observing and recommending potential opportunities, create proposals and present findings to customers.
- Project Management- Aid the development and implementation of Site Measurement Plans and deploy Metering, Monitoring & Targeting (MM&T) equipment to monitor energy, process and quality parameters.
- Perform concept and schematic design and calculations for EEMs, review drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and sequences of operation.
- Conduct historical utility billing reviews and facility benchmarking analysis.
- Assist in customer relations.
- Business Development - Support senior management with new business development and prepare proposals for new projects.
- Internal Reporting - Provide progress reports and updates to senior management, participate in regular team meetings.
Your previous experience is likely to include….
- Work experience or proven interest in climate change, energy management, and sustainability.
- Experience in the food, beverage, chemical and FMCG industries is an advantage.
- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Experience in Utility metering, Strata Software and Telemetry Set Up / Configuration
- Experience in Engineering solutions
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Site Energy Surveys
- Utility and capacity Data Reviews / Report Writing

- Have a full UK Driving License
- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

- A well-rounded individual, self-motivated with written, oral and technical communication skills for customer interaction and report writing.
- A person demonstrating proactive approaches and considerations to problem solving.
