For our office in Calceranica (TN), we are looking for a Sustainability Specialist who will join the Innovation & Sustainability department.


Job purpose:

The Sustainability Specialist supports the design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the company’s sustainability strategy and programs. The role contributes to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, corporate policies, and international standards, while supporting business objectives and stakeholder expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of the corporate sustainability and ESG strategy across operations and functions.
  • Monitor progress against sustainability roadmaps and support actions where required.
  • Collect, analyse and report CSR data across all aspects of ESG. It also includes environmental data points like energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1, 2, and applicable categories in Scope 3), water use, waste generation, and recycling rates.
  • Support and coordinate initiatives related to climate change mitigation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, and eco-design.
  • Support internal awareness and training activities related to social and ethical sustainability topics.
  • Perform products LCA calculations and reports.
  • Support responsible sourcing and supplier sustainability programs, including conducting CSR assessments and audits (e.g. SMETA, CDP, EcoVadis, Sedex).
  • Contribute to the organisation and execution of initiatives related to human rights, labor standards, health and safety, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Contribute to the organisation and execution of the CosterCares program (in the ethicalsocial sector), including coordinating foreign subsidiaries.
  • Support internal awareness and training activities related to social and ethical sustainability topics.
  • Contribute to internal and external sustainability reporting, including annual sustainability or ESG reports.
  • Support data preparation and disclosure for frameworks and ratings such as GRI, CDP, EcoVadis, EMF, M2030,… and regulatory disclosures when required.
  • Ensure data quality, traceability, and consistency across reporting cycles.
  • Support engagement with internal stakeholders (operations, procurement, R&D, finance, HR) to integrate sustainability into business processes.
  • Prepare sustainability-related presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver responses to customer and investor sustainability questionnaires.
  • Identify opportunities for sustainability performance improvement and cost optimization.
  • Participate in cross-functional sustainability projects and working groups.
  • Support benchmarking and best-practice analysis within the industry.
  • Continuously review regulatory framework for sustainability, trends and benchmarking.
  • Review progress and promote sustainability projects aimed at creating a culture of sustainability.


Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Degree focused on Sustainability, like in Environmental Science, Management Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Economics for the Environment and Sustainability or similar.
  • Additional: A Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or ESG-related disciplines is an advantage. Professional Experience
  • Min 5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or a related function.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or packaging environments is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with ISO and sustainability standards, frameworks, and reporting methodologies.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of sustainability and ESG principles.
  • Knowledge of environmental metrics, carbon accounting, and life cycle thinking.
  • Familiarity with international standards and frameworks (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, GRI, SMETA, CDP, EcoVadis, EMF).
  • Knowledge of LCA calculation. Use of Simapro is highly appreciated.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and interpret data.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Working Conditions:

Si offre contratto a tempo indeterminato, CCNL Metalmeccanico.

La retribuzione prevista è compresa tra €38.000 e €45.000 lordi annui, in base all’esperienza del candidato.
