Title : Recycling Facilities Researcher

Location : Addison, TX | 100% onsite

Pay:  $18–$20 per hour

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Type:  Temp to hire, full-time assignment

ROLE IMPACT

The Sustainability Sourcing Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing environmental and recycling initiatives by identifying, researching, and qualifying end-of-life facilities for sustainable material processing. This position focuses heavily on prospecting and sourcing — conducting online research, cold outreach, and data validation to ensure facilities meet compliance and sustainability requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct detailed online research (Google, databases, directories) to identify potential recycling and sustainability partners.

• Source, vet, and qualify end-of-life facilities based on materials accepted, pricing, capabilities, and environmental compliance.

• Initiate and manage outreach via phone and email to confirm facility information and build partnerships.

• Document sourcing activity and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets or CRM systems.

• Analyze and compare facility data to recommend the most suitable partners.

• Prepare and present reports summarizing research findings and sourcing outcomes.

• Stay informed on sustainability standards, recycling regulations, and industry trends.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing priorities with corporate sustainability objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year of experience in sustainability, environmental research, or sourcing/procurement roles.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and project management skills.

• Excellent communication abilities—professional, articulate, and proactive in outreach.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

• Environmental data or CRM systems

• Communication tools (Outlook, Teams, Zoom)

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience working with recycling, waste management, or sustainability programs.

• Familiarity with North American environmental compliance standards.

• Proven ability to identify and implement innovative sustainability solutions.
