We are seeking a technical and commercial asset manager to join our operations team to support the management and optimisation of our expanding portfolio of BESS projects.


The opportunity

As an Asset Manager at Copenhagen Energy, you will hold a key role in optimising portfolio operations between a wide array of technical, commercial, legal and financial stakeholders and work streams. You will work with a diverse and growing portfolio of BESS projects across northern Europe, taking a high level of responsibility for each project’s contractual and performance obligations. The Asset Manager works closely with our development and project management teams to ensure a seamless value chain proposition across a project’s life.


  • O&M management: Monitor, coordinate and challenge O&M contractors, ensuring the highest level of technical performance and optimization to support seamless trading operations.
  • Performance reporting: Produce operational reports detailing asset performance for a wide range of commercial and financial stakeholders.
  • Financial management: Manage and prepare operational budgets, including detailed liquidity forecasting and reporting.
  • Process development: Develop and manage processes and procedures to ensure consistent asset management across our portfolio, ensuring efficient handover from the construction phase and continuous iterative improvement at the development phase.
  • Legal and compliance: Coordinate with our internal legal and finance teams to support financial reporting, insurance claims and other contractual obligations.
  • Site and stakeholder management: Conduct regular site visit inspections to ensure quality and manage landowner relationships.
  • Digitalization and cyber security: Develop and drive digitalization and cyber security initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Contract management: Maintain ongoing contract compliance and drive operational efficiency across all agreements.


Who are you

We are looking for a proactive colleague with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude who enjoys taking ownership and getting things done. You are a natural problem solver who is comfortable navigating complexities, identifying challenges, and driving solutions to completion. At the same time, you bring a structured and organised approach to your work, ensuring that projects, stakeholders, and priorities are managed effectively.


  • Experience: At least two years working in an energy company, advisory firm, or asset management company, with hands-on experience with both technical operations and commercial or financial responsibilities.
  • Project management: Demonstrated project management knowledge, capability and experience.
  • Energy markets: An understanding of energy market systems in the Nord Pool region is an advantage.
  • Analytical skills: High level of analytical expertise, highly numerate and able to assess complex datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Economics, Sustainable Energy, Renewable Energy Systems, Energy Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • IT proficiency: Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft software suite. IT competency is a must.
  • Location: You will be based at our office in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen.
  • Language: Professional proficiency in English, enabling effective communication within our international team.
