About Cool Planet Technologies

Cool Planet Technologies (“CPT”) is a dynamic startup company that is pioneering the fight against climate change with a bold vision: developing breakthrough carbon capture technology. We are seeking to eliminate CO2 from flue gas streams of industrial emitters in hard to abate industries by introducing a game-changing advanced membrane-based point source carbon capture process.

The cutting-edge technology is being developed by CPT with support from leading research partners such as the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon Research Institute, strong financial institutions and global strategic partners in diverse industries, together combining the expertise needed to drive real change.

As part of this mission, CPT is designing and implementing a world leading factory for the production of thin film composite carbon capture membranes and proprietary membrane housings at an industrial scale. This revolutionary factory will start operations end of 2027 in Austria and will set a transformative development programme for technological advancement and the supply of large-scale quantities of membrane for carbon capture projects.

Your Role

CPT is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented senior engineer, highly experienced in the fields of design, assembly, commissioning and operation of special purpose machinery, ideally within the field of coating machinery. In this key position, you will play a leading role in the establishment and operation of our manufacturing facility in St. Veit, Carinthia, in southern Austria. While the primary place of work will be in Carinthia, flexibility is required to support regular on-site collaboration and coordination with teams in Vienna, Styria, Germany, and the UK.

You will take on a lead role in the establishment of the factory, focusing in particular on the design completion, procurement, assembly, commissioning and start-up of the production machinery required for CPT’s manufacturing process.

After commissioning the production machinery, you will take on the role of the production manager, leading the reliable and efficient production of membranes as well as membrane modules and taking responsibility for further development, optimization and continuous improvement of the production processes.
