The applicant must possess:


  1. a recognised degree and preferably a postgraduate degree in Engineering, Building Services, or other construction-related disciplines;
  2. a minimum of 7 years' post-qualification relevant working experience, with proven experience in managing alteration and addition (A&A) and new development projects from the perspectives of developers, clients, or consultants;
  3. expertise in MVAC, electrical, and other MEP systems, with a high level of integrity and accountability;
  4. solid experience in utilities maintenance, energy management systems, sustainability frameworks, and statutory procedures;
  5. knowledge of green building design, sustainable development, and related technologies. Experience in environmental certification schemes (e.g. LEED, BEAM Plus) and energy-efficient technologies will be an advantage;
  6. possession of the Hong Kong BEAM Professional (BEAM Pro) qualification is preferred;
  7. strong ability to lead and deliver projects independently, including coordinating multiple stakeholders and project teams; and
  8. good interpersonal and communication skills, with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include:


  1. to develop, execute, and monitor sustainability, green building, new energy, and A&A projects;
  2. to collect, analyse, and report on energy consumption, operational performance, and sustainability metrics;
  3. to lead and coordinate the performance and cost evaluation of the various technologies adopted at CIC-ZCP, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement;
  4. to consolidate operational schedules and ensure alignment with energy-saving strategies at CIC-ZCP;
  5. to contribute engineering solutions to enhance CIC-ZCP's profile as a sustainability leader, including planning and implementing the latest renewable energy solutions and sustainable cooling solutions;
  6. to carry out studies on low-carbon building and construction technologies and support pilot projects and the adoption of new technologies aligned with zero-energy goals;
  7. to manage consultants and contractors, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of sustainability projects;
  8. to oversee and support the daily operations of CIC-ZCP, including facilities maintenance and repair and maintenance (R&M) works, and to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, licensing conditions, and safety documentation for construction-related works;
  9. to prepare tender documents, progress reports, presentations, and meeting materials for management and stakeholders; and
  10. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
