Expected salary range of $116,100 to $129,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
Manage specific Radwaste / Chemistry programs as assigned. The position involves management and oversight of the radwaste program, maintaining regulatory requirements, vendor oversight, and participation in the Emergency Preparedness (EP) and duty rotation. This position will routinely function in a mentoring role and utilizes experience to function with minimal oversight.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Monitor collection and processing system chemistry and operational parameters in order to provide recommendations for maintaining radwaste system health and minimization of waste generation.

Act as a Radwaste system point of contact to aggressively advocate with other work groups and Clean Energy Center (CEC) leadership for resolution of system issues to ensure radwaste health.

Set goals and communicate progress on solid/liquid system processing metrics.

Develop and execute plans for spent resin processing and management through oversight of vendors and coordination with other CEC workgroups.

Establish and manage budget, forecasting, accruals, and contracts for radioactive waste such as spent resin, dry activated waste, and metals.

Work with radwaste shipping to ensure all radwaste types are shipped offsite timely for cost optimization.

Provide leadership and mentoring in responsibilities to support radwaste programs and communication with the CEC. This will include developing others as backup support, helping others with vendor oversight, and providing guidance on key projects.

Receive & provide Radwaste related training, which includes preparing and delivering lesson plans. Observe and participate in classroom training activities.

Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related physical science with 5 years of related experience in Operations, Chemistry, or Radwaste OR

Associate's degree in related physical science with 7 years of related experience in Operations, Chemistry, or Radwaste OR

High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience in Operations, Chemistry, or Radwaste

Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
