Salary Range:
&bull Mid-Level - $90,000 - $110,000
&bull Senior Level - $117,000 - $143,000
Ranges are annual based on experience and include a full benefits package that comprises bonuses and a 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
In this role, you will apply advanced engineering and technical problem-solving expertise to support nuclear plant operations, serving as a pivotal resource and technical expert for engineers. Your decisions will have significant technical implications, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of your functional discipline and relevant industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Provide comprehensive technical expertise to manage and implement engineering analyses and programs.
- Act as a subject matter expert to help identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Lead engineering accountability for programs impacting site operations.
- Execute engineering tasks as directed, applying sound engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research and analyses to support technical projects.
- Propose innovative equipment and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, and comply with regulatory changes.
- Fulfill other duties as required by management, including emergency response and outage support activities.
Minimum Qualifications
For Mid-Level (E02) Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear-related or equivalent engineering experience.
- Must meet access requirements and pass any required medical examinations in line with position duties.
For Senior (E03) Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear-related or equivalent engineering experience.
- Must meet access requirements and pass any required medical examinations related to position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Experience in power plant system engineering involving secondary/balance of plant equipment.
- Familiarity with steam turbines, pumps, and heat exchangers is highly preferred.
