Expected salary range of $100,800 to $112,000, which may vary based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses, commissions, and a 401(k). Primary Purpose of Position The Senior Project Developer will leverage expertise in building systems and energy efficiency to lead sales efforts for infrastructure renewal and building upgrade projects. This role will serve as both a Project Developer and Sales Engineer, managing technical project development from initial conception through to contract award. The Senior Project Developer will play a vital role in engaging with customers while showcasing technical expertise to align with business goals. Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Act as the technical subject matter expert in the project development and sales phases, focusing on building systems and their engineering design and performance.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and cross-functional teams to evaluate the technical and financial feasibility of potential projects, while providing support during customer presentations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of facilities and infrastructure to identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) along with their energy, operational, and financial benefits.
- Analyze utility profiles and facilities' infrastructure to define project direction, scope, and financial elements, including creating detailed financial pro formas and technical scopes of work.
- Lead diverse teams to ensure all project deliverables are developed from qualification through contract award, managing resource alignment, cost modeling, subcontractor negotiations, and quality reviews.
- Expand project offerings by integrating Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, and Resiliency initiatives beyond traditional measures.
- Oversee legal documentation, financing procurement, and all necessary project approvals.
- Effectively manage project budgets, schedules, and resources in collaboration with internal stakeholders to guarantee timely completion and adherence to scope.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in project development or sales engineering related to building infrastructure projects, or equivalent related experience.
- Proven technical knowledge of building systems and technologies and their interactions.
- Experience conducting cost savings analyses and utilizing operational data for assessing project opportunities.
- Strong technical writing skills coupled with financial and business acumen, including project pro forma development.
- Ability to cultivate professional relationships with engineering firms and contractors.
- Fluent in English with advanced communication and presentation skills suitable for engaging corporate leadership.
- Capability to obtain necessary security clearances.
- Experience in managing infrastructure-related building projects and leading cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables.
- Familiarity with developing energy efficiency projects through Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) or similar programs.
- Proficient in cost estimating and building modeling software, including RSMeans and Energy Star.
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or LEED accreditation is a plus.
- Certification as an Energy Auditor (CEA) is preferred.
