The Senior Engineering Analyst - Nuclear Operational Analysis Department position is based out of our Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL.

Expected salary range of $129,600 to $144,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Provides initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (non-engineer) and 6 years of Nuclear or related industry experience OR
Associate's degree in a technical field and 8 years of nuclear or related industry experience OR
High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 9 years of nuclear or related experience of which 6 years should be at the exempt level
Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with field testing like:
Protective Relaying testing (electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor)
Current and Potential transformer testing
Power Transformer testing
Power Transformer monitoring system testing and maintenance
Circuit and trip testing
High Potential and Megger (insulation resistance) testing
Experience utilizing testing equipment like:
Doble, Manta, Megger, and Omicron power systems simulator equipment
AC and DC High Potential test equipment
Megger, Tan Delta and other insulation testing equipment
DC resistance test equipment
Panel meter calibration equipment
CT analyzing equipment
Use of computer software to interface with plant equipment and test equipment
Experience providing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance like:
Protective relay calibration/maintenance
Generator voltage regulator preventative maintenance
Distributed control system administration and maintenance
Sequence of Events recorder maintenance
Security systems maintenance
