Expected salary range of $219,600 to $244,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
A senior lawyer responsible for supporting all aspects of the development and construction of natural gas‑fired power plants, battery storage facilities, solar farms, and carbon capture and sequestration facilities across the United States.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Plan, conduct, and supervise complex legal assignments
- Evaluate legal and business risks and advise clients accordingly
- Interpret and apply organizational policy according to law
- Represent the company in agency proceedings and litigation
- Prepare and revise budgets and early matter assessments involving outside counsel
- Provide leadership to less experienced attorneys and support staff
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- At least 10-12 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments.
- Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law.
