Position Title: SOMACORE Project Coordinator
Overtime Eligibility: Not eligible
Department/Program/ Location: Quezon City, Philippines
Supervisor: SOMACORE Senior Project Manager

SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator will provide technical, administrative, and organizational support to the CI SOMACORE Project

Management Unit (SPMU). S/he will support the organization of regional learning exchanges, related travel logistics and organize project-related documentation.

In coordination with the Senior Project Manager (SrPM), the Project Coordinator:

  • The Project Coordinator will organize SPMU meetings, online and in person conference calls, workshops, social events and related travel arrangements.
  • S/he will manage travel and related logistics, venue arrangements, processing travel reimbursements and reporting related to these events.
  • The Project Coordinator will support overall SPMU communications including preparing meeting presentations and meeting reports.
  • S/he will collaborate with the SrPM in compiling project related reports and resources, and with the SrPM and

Finance and Administrative Manager in keeping the SPMU budget in check.

  • The Project Coordinator reports to the Senior Project Manager and supports all staff of the SPMU.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience or working knowledge of conservation related concepts, projects or programs

PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Does not manage staff but assists peers and may direct the work of interns, volunteers, contractors, and others.
  • Does not have authority to allocate resources or approve budget expenditures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or related field and at least 5 years’ experience in project support, coordination, and logistics
  • With written and verbal communication skills and has solid attention to detail
  • Ability to function well in a multicultural, diverse, and fast-paced work team environment.
  • Comfortable managing multiple duties and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Service focus. Courteous, tactful, and proven ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and take initiative to solve problems under supervisor direction.
  • Proficient in MS Office and use of technology in virtual and hybrid meetings and events.
  • Ability to work extended work hours to meet project deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment.
  • Travel to project field areas is expected.
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 48 months
