About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Distributed Clean Energy (DCE) Operations to lead the daily operations, maintenance, and budget management of a nationwide portfolio of renewable energy assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of assets, including solar, wind, and battery storage, and must ensure the highest level of health and safety practices. This role requires a strong leader with a background in electric generation operations, particularly in solar and wind, and experience in a direct supervision and leadership role. The Vice President will be tasked with promoting a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and cost optimization, as well as managing a ten-person operating team and third-party service providers. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree or MBA being a plus. A minimum of 10 years' experience in electric generation operations, with at least 5 years in solar or wind, is required. The role demands extensive knowledge of power generation systems, installation techniques, and electrical systems, as well as experience with SCADA systems and predictive maintenance tools. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong business acumen, and have a sound understanding of energy business concepts. Leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a proven track record of dealing with both management and technical teams are essential. The role also requires a strong understanding of safety standards and the ability to travel as needed.
