About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale its engineering organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of a highly scalable, cloud-based SaaS platform, with a focus on 24/7 reliability, quality, and resilience. This role demands a strategic leader who can define and implement engineering strategies that align with business goals, and who will instill a culture of accountability, creativity, and urgency to ensure product excellence. The VP of Engineering will also be tasked with building and mentoring a high-performing team, championing a customer-centric development approach, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance the product experience. Applicants must have a proven track record as a senior engineering leader for a scalable, cloud-based SaaS product, with a deep understanding of 24/7 production systems and strong experience in Agile SCRUM methodologies. While experience in the life sciences or a regulated industry is desirable, it is not required. The role requires exceptional leadership, team-building, and collaboration skills, as well as a data-driven mindset and a focus on continuous improvement. Technical expertise in scalable cloud architectures, modern DevOps practices, and SaaS platform technologies is essential, along with a solid understanding of usage metrics and their application in measuring product success. The ideal candidate will be a mentor and career developer, with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.
