The Company is seeking a Vice President of Capital Solutions to lead its department in deploying community development capital to nonprofit organizations and social enterprises. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction and success of the department, with a focus on increasing community ownership of local assets and supporting wealth creation in communities of color. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of commercial real estate lending, including underwriting, deal structuring, and risk mitigation, and experience in loan fund capitalization. The Vice President will also be the organization's chief credit officer, managing credit and risk, and will be expected to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and high performance within the department.
Candidates for the Vice President of Capital Solutions position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing commercial real estate lending activities, preferably within a CDFI, nonprofit lender, or credit union. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to translate community needs into actionable lending opportunities and a dedication to a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach to work. Extensive experience in developing credit policies, evaluating credit, and a strong background in the intersection of social justice and finance are essential.
