About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Distributed Clean Energy (DCE) Operations to lead the daily operations, maintenance, and budget management of a nationwide portfolio of renewable energy assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of assets, including solar, wind, and battery storage, and must ensure the highest level of health and safety practices. This role requires a strong leader with a background in electric generation operations, particularly in solar and wind, and experience in a direct supervision and leadership role. The VP will be tasked with promoting a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and cost optimization, as well as managing a ten-person operating team and third-party service providers. Applicants for the Vice President of DCE Operations at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree being a plus. A minimum of 10 years' experience in electric generation operations, with at least 5 years in solar or wind generation, is required. The role demands extensive knowledge of power generation systems, electrical systems, and experience with SCADA systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in budget management, be adept at leveraging data analytics for performance enhancement, and have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. The VP will also be expected to have a strong understanding of safety standards and environmental policies related to renewable energy generation, and the ability to travel as needed.
