About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on Commercial Transactions and Data Privacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently handling complex legal matters and projects, providing expert counsel on legal rights and obligations in the areas of commercial transactions and data privacy. This includes specialized knowledge in contract, corporate, joint venture, and partnership law, as well as the ability to negotiate and draft legal documentation. The role also involves advising on data privacy issues, including new privacy laws and emerging technology concerns, and conducting risk assessments related to business operations. Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate and a minimum of 5 years' of experience, with a strong preference for those with expertise in data privacy, commercial transactions, and intellectual property. The Senior Counsel will be expected to provide proactive legal and practical business advice, and to work closely with internal clients to ensure legal compliance and effective business strategies. The position requires excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to interface with various departments, and a proactive approach to legal and business challenges. State Bar Licensure is a mandatory requirement for this role.
