The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the overall Product Quality Management System, developing and implementing quality improvement strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. This role requires a high-caliber, hands-on leader with a background in commercial product development and manufacturing, as well as a strong understanding of US Government quality standards. The Executive Director will be a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to the development and deployment of processes, training, and tools that enhance product quality, reduce project risk, and ensure customer satisfaction. Applicants for the Executive Director, Quality position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and a minimum of 12 years' of experience in commercial product development and manufacturing. A successful track record in leading quality initiatives, developing quality-enhancing processes, and a deep knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or CMMI standards are essential. The role demands the ability to effect cultural change toward quality, lead continuous improvement efforts, and mentor quality professionals. A Master's degree, MBA, or relevant certifications such as CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt are desired. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry, working in cleanroom environments, and a strong background in government contracting, particularly in Quality Assessment Surveillance Plans and Quality Management Plans.
