About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for PPA Origination and Power Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy and execution of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other offtake arrangements for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This pivotal role involves market entry, power fundamentals, and the origination and execution of offtake agreements across a diverse range of clean energy assets, including solar, wind, storage, and emerging technologies. The VP will be at the forefront of the company's commercial activities, building and maintaining relationships with utilities, corporates, and industrial companies in all US power markets. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years' experience in the US renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of at least 5 years in negotiating and closing PPAs and other energy contracts. The role requires a deep understanding of energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks, as well as experience in a high-growth or start-up environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of industry contacts and be adept at creating and responding to RFPs. Responsibilities also include leading the commercialization of energy products, supporting the design of hybrid projects, and staying abreast of market and regulatory developments. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that power marketing efforts align with the company's overall strategy and project timelines.
