About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Project Construction to lead the management of rooftop and ground mount solar projects for commercial, industrial, and utility installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial development to construction, including design, contractor and subcontractor management, and overall project management. This role requires a strategic and customer-centric approach, with a focus on overseeing all technical aspects of the projects, assigning responsibilities to the project team, and working with cross-functional teams to develop sales, negotiate contracts, and manage project budgets. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' progressive engineering experience in complex energy projects, with a specific emphasis on solar energy construction. A technical degree in engineering or construction management is required, along with a professional engineering or electrical license. The role demands a candidate with strong financial analysis skills, excellent adherence to schedules, and a proven track record of collaborative problem-solving to ensure the maintenance of budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction. The VP of Project Construction will also be expected to provide support to contractors and subcontractors in resolving construction issues and to monitor the installation and start-up of new equipment or systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements.
