MEP Project Engineer
Senior Principal MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) for vertical assets (hospitality + mix-use offices)
- Integration of modern MEP systems into constrained brownfield sites with legacy utilities and adjacent heritage assets.
- Utility diversion and upgrade expertise: substation relocation, and stormwater retrofits in dense urban cores.
- Design for adaptive reuse of heritage buildings with modern HVAC, electrical, and plumbing while respecting fabric integrity
- Advanced HVAC solutions for Riyadh’s arid climate: high-efficiency chillers, DOAS, displacement ventilation, and hybrid systems.
- Expertise in vertical transportation systems (lifts, escalators) integrated with TOD nodes.
- Coordination of mix-use cores (hospitality, offices, retail) with distinct but interconnected MEP demands.
- Fire & life safety engineering: smoke extraction, fire suppression, and evacuation systems tailored to high-rise mix-use codes.
- Design of smart mobility infrastructure (EV charging, micromobility docking, autonomous shuttle readiness).
- Energy modeling & optimization: net-zero-ready MEP design, renewable integration (solar PV, greywater reuse).
- Water stewardship in arid contexts: low-flow fixtures, greywater recycling, district water management.
- Experience with carbon footprint assessment of MEP systems across lifecycle.
- BIM-MEP proficiency (Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, Dynamo for MEP workflows).
- Use of CFD modeling for airflow, smoke control, and microclimate comfort.
- Familiarity with energy simulation platforms (IESVE, DesignBuilder, EnergyPlus).
- Capability in GIS integration for infrastructure mapping in complex brownfield sites.
- Oversight of MEP system installation sequencing in tight heritage-adjacent environments.
- Strong knowledge of prefabricated / modular MEP systems for high-rise construction.
- Experience with commissioning, retro-commissioning, and facility handover for large-scale hospitality and office towers.
- Value engineering without compromising heritage and TOD requirements.
15–20 years professional experience in MEP design and delivery for hospitality and mix-use vertical assets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or MEP Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CIBSE, ASHRAE, IEEE, or equivalent)
- Proven expertise in brownfield urban regeneration projects, ideally in the GCC region.
- Demonstrated success integrating heritage-sensitive MEP retrofits with modern high-rise systems.
