About Us

Concrete4Change (C4C) is a commercial deep-tech company building one of the most scalable and economically viable CO₂ mineralisation platforms globally.

Our technology converts CO₂ into a high-performance cement additive, delivering cost-neutral or cost-positive decarbonisation for the concrete industry.

We are already operating at pilot scale (~3 tonnes/year) with validated product performance and strong industrial demand.

Next steps:

Demo plant (~300 tonnes/year) — near-term commercial deployment

Industrial plant (~300,000 tonnes/year) — full-scale production

This is a 1000× scale-up.

We are executing this with major industrial partners (Holcim, Goldbeck), active product demand, and clear commercial pathways including offtake, licensing, and strategic partnerships.

We have raised £10M+ to date and are now raising £10M–£15M+ to deliver the demo plant and unlock large-scale commercial rollout.

The Role

This is a capital and commercial delivery role.

We are looking for a Chief Investment Officer who can raise capital, structure commercial deals, and directly enable revenue and scale. Your job is not to manage finance. Your job is to bring capital and commercial traction together to accelerate growth.

What You Will Actually Do

  • Own and deliver the £10M–£15M fundraising round
  • Build and execute the capital strategy from demo to industrial scale
  • Lead fundraising across VCs, strategic investors, corporates, and non-dilutive sources
  • Leverage your network to open doors and close both capital and commercial opportunities
  • Structure and negotiate deals that combine investment and revenue,
  • equity and strategic investment
  • Project finance
  • Drive the full investor and partner process including data room, financial model, valuation, term sheets, and due diligence
  • Convert strategic relationships into bankable commercial agreements
  • Own financial discipline across the company including cashflow, budgeting, reporting, and capital allocation
  • Lead financial planning linked to commercial scale-up including capex, pricing logic, and margin structure
  • Ensure alignment between technology performance, cost structure, and revenue model
  • Work directly with CEO and C-suite team on fundraising, partnerships, and strategic direction
  • Represent the company to investors, banks, government, and industrial partners

Essential Requirements

  • You have raised £15M+ yourself (not supported, led), OR You have worked in venture capital, investment, or banking and deployed £50M+ into startups or equivalent deals
  • Proven ability to close capital and commercial deals
  • Strong network with VCs, corporates, family offices, or financial institutions
  • Strong commercial mindset — understands revenue, pricing, and deal structure
  • Deep understanding of financial modelling, cap tables, term sheets, and valuation
  • Experience in deep-tech, industrial, climate, or materials sectors
  • Ability to operate in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
  • High ownership mindset with full accountability for outcomes

Strong Signals (We Will Prioritise)

  • You have led a Series A or growth round (£10M–£30M+)
  • You have structured deals combining investment + offtake / industrial partnership
  • You have been involved in £100M+ investment or project finance transactions
  • Experience in industrial scale-up, manufacturing, or infrastructure
  • Background in investment banking, venture capital, or corporate development
  • Experience with UK/EU grant-funded projects and commercial deployment

Benefits

  • Ownership of capital and commercial strategy for a category-defining climate tech company
  • Equity in a company targeting global industrial scale
  • Direct engagement with major industrial partners, customers, and investors
  • High-impact leadership role with real financial and commercial responsibility
  • Fast progression based on results
  • No bureaucracy — only execution

Final Note (Read Carefully)

  • This role is about capital and commercial execution.
  • If you want
  • to focus only on reporting and compliance
  • to support rather than lead fundraising
  • to avoid commercial deal-making
  • or to operate in a low-pressure environment

this is not the role.

If you want to

  • raise £10M–£15M+ and beyond
  • convert relationships into revenue and strategic advantage
  • structure deals that enable industrial scale
  • and be accountable for capital, commercial outcomes, and growth

then apply.
