Join the power movement as an EHS Specialist
The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and analyzing EHS processes and systems while supporting EHS programs.
This position will oversee the functionality and improvement of EHS systems to support safety initiatives and compliance requirements. This role will work with subject matter experts across EHS and stakeholder groups to ensure effective processes are built.
The EHS Specialist will author Standards, Programs, and Procedures related to system and application processes.
What you'll do:
- Manage and maintain EHS software systems, ensuring they are functional, up-to-date, and meet organizational needs
- Analyze EHS data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights and support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Develop and implement system enhancements to improve user experience and data accuracy
- Ensure EHS systems comply with all relevant regulations and standards
- Author EHS company Standards and site-specific Programs for related EHS subjects that relate to the use and deployment of any system or application
- Support other facets of EHS as available
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- Proven experience in EHS systems management
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
- Experience with EHS software systems (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Enablon, or others)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus points for:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Certification in EHS (e.g., Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH))
- Experience with Project Management tools (e.g., Jira, Atlassian)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Must-have Requirements:
- Working knowledge and competence of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) or Human Performance Improvement concepts and practices
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
