Community Development Programmer

Mission: Collabera’s largest clean energy and automotive client is hiring a highly motivated software engineer to join the Energy Validation Infrastructure (EVI) team with a focus on product validation and integration. This role is focused on building Python-based tooling and frameworks used to validate and test hardware components throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will design and maintain automated validation tools, including CAN-based test systems, to ensure hardware reliability, usability, and performance. Must Haves: ~3–5 years of experience building software tooling used for hardware validation and testing The role is more focused on tools and driver development rather than solely hardware validation. ~ Proven experience designing and developing validation tools for hardware components ~ Hands-on experience with CAN-based testing and validation workflows ~ General hardware validation exposure, ideally from industrial, automotive, or manufacturing environments ~ High proficiency in Python, including writing production-quality, testable code ~ Prior experience testing and validating physical hardware components , not just software-only systems Day-to-Day Bring up new product hardware platforms in software test frameworks Own all aspects of software for product validation between hardware and test scripting Work as a team - tenaciously support test writers and other internal customers (FW devs). Build/improve infrastructure supporting test execution, hardware interfacing, data collection and analysis.
