Partner - Energy Storage & New Grid
Description of Role
Colbridge Ventures is a growth advisory firm for climatetech startups. We act as fractional commercial execs within clients' management teams to accelerate the growth and financing of early stage deeptech firms operating in the climate arena. We are all former founders and operators, with decades of commercial expertise, committed to supporting the development of technologies that combat climate change.
As we've grown beyond our existing capacity, we are looking for another Partner to take on some of our upcoming roles in Energy Storage & New Grid and bring in new projects.
Key aspects of the role are:
- Work alongside client management teams to refine commercial strategy, develop sales models, fill pipelines, test marketing channels, and structure partnerships
- Write fundraising materials and support clients in delivering high quality pitches and securing funds
- Build a deep and extensive network among climatetech VCs and accelerators
- Reach out to climatetech startups to develop Colbridge's sales pipeline
- Contribute thought leadership content to enhance Colbridge Ventures' stature as a go-to commercial partner for climatetech startups
- Support the development of internal tools to enhance our collective effectiveness
- Although most of our work is remote, you'll need to be based in Europe and expected to travel to London 2-3 times per year
The Partner team act primarily independently on specific clients. As an entrepreneurial position, you'd be expected to cover yourself through income from your own dealflow that we will help you bring in.
Ideal Candidate
- You are a former climatetech founder or early employee who has successfully grown the company and seek to continue to work in hands-on roles within climatetech startups

- Have at least 3 years commercial experience in Energy Storage & New Grid, working to grow the company and ideally helping to raise funds
- You've led and mentored tech teams and ideally have some consulting experience
- Some technical background, whether through a university education in science/engineering subjects or work experience in technical environments
- You're whip smart, easy to work with, and have high energy positivity

- 10+ years' experience in commercial roles in the technology startup sector
- Founder or early employee of a climatetech startup
- Science/engineering academic background or substantial experience in science/engineering-based companies
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
