About

Colbridge Partners is a specialist advisory and transactions practice operating across European climatetech, industrial decarbonisation, and water/waste valorisation. We support technology companies, investors and industrial clients on deal origination, commercial strategy, pilot structuring and market entry. We also operate a small pre-seed investment arm focused on novel climate and industrial biotech opportunities.

As we scale our advisory footprint and build out internal capabilities, we are hiring a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO to accelerate growth, strengthen our operating systems, and expand our presence within the European climatetech ecosystem.

Role Overview

The Chief of Staff will act as a force multiplier for the CEO and Colbridge’s leadership team—driving business development, building internal infrastructure, shaping our market presence, and helping operationalise our investment activities. You will operate at a high level of autonomy, working across advisory, operations, partnerships, and early investment screening.

This is a role for someone who thrives in climatetech, understands early-stage markets, and enjoys building structure in an entrepreneurial, high-velocity environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth & Advisory Pipeline Development

  • Actively represent Colbridge within the European climatetech and industrial decarbonisation community.
  • Build and maintain relationships across founders, investors, industrial partners, accelerators, and research institutions.
  • Identify, qualify, and channel high-value advisory opportunities into the Colbridge pipeline.
  • Support CEO in crafting BD collateral, proposal development, and follow-up strategy.

2. Internal Capability Building

  • Lead development and optimisation of internal systems including CRM, deal-tracking tools, research frameworks, and knowledge management.
  • Create repeatable advisory “toolkits”: market maps, commercial due-diligence templates, pilot-to-commercial frameworks, and GTM playbooks.
  • Improve processes across project management, reporting, and client delivery.

3. Event Marketing & Community Presence

  • Plan, execute, and lead Colbridge’s event-driven marketing strategy (roundtables, dinners, technical sessions, small-format industry gatherings).
  • Coordinate presence at major ecosystem events (e.g., London Climatetech Week, The Drop, Slush etc).
  • Use events as a pipeline-generation mechanism—capturing warm leads, refining positioning, and building visibility for Colbridge and its portfolio.

4. Pre-Seed Investment Sourcing & Screening

  • Help source and evaluate early-stage climatetech and industrial biotech opportunities.
  • Run initial commercial/technical screens and prepare internal investment briefs.
  • Coordinate founder interactions, data gathering, and investment committee prep.
  • Track emerging areas aligned with Colbridge’s thesis

5. Partner Onboarding & Company Build-Out

  • Design and run onboarding for future Partners and senior advisors.
  • Create documented processes, BD materials, and internal workflows that enable new joiners to be productive quickly.
  • Support hiring processes and organisational planning as the firm scales.

6. CEO & Leadership Support

  • Work as an extension of the CEO on strategic priorities, operational decisions, and special projects.
  • Provide analytical and organisational support on high-impact initiatives across deals, advisory work, and new capability areas.
  • Ensure follow-through across internal and external commitments.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience in climatetech, industrial decarbonisation, venture, consulting, or early-stage operations.
  • Exceptional organisational and project-management skills.
  • Comfortable with high-responsibility, ambiguous tasks, and fast-moving environments.
  • Strong communicator, relationship-builder, and ecosystem connector.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to build frameworks, structure information, and support decision-making.
  • Credibility in technical and commercial conversations with founders, investors, and industrial partners.
  • Event management or community-building experience is a strong plus.
  • A self-starter who enjoys creating order, improving systems, and operating close to leadership.
  • Someone that wants a long-term career in climatetech
  • Ideally holds an MBA.

What This Role Offers
  • High-autonomy position working directly with the CEO.
  • Exposure to leading climatetech founders, investors, and industrial players across Europe.
  • A central role in shaping the growth trajectory and operating infrastructure of Colbridge Ventures.
  • Opportunity to contribute to both advisory and early-stage investment decisions.
  • A front-row seat to some of Europe’s most interesting climatetech commercialisation work.
  • FTE salary of £70-90k, initially on part-time basis, ramping up to full-time in Q3.
