Co-Aotearoa focuses on collaboration and sustainability to address pressing climate issues. It provides a platform for fostering community-led initiatives and actionable solutions to promote a healthier environment.
Role Description
This is a volunteer position for a Board Member at Co- Aotearoa. Board Members will provide strategic governance and oversight to the organisation, ensuring adherence to its mission and values. Responsibilities include attending and actively participating in board meetings, contributing to policy development and organizational strategy, and offering advice on operational decisions. Members are also expected to support fundraising, community engagement, and networking to strengthen the organization.
Qualifications
- Strategic planning, decision-making, and policy development skills
- Leadership and governance experience, preferably in non-profit or community organizations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Experience or knowledge in areas such as environmental sustainability, fundraising, or stakeholder engagement
- A deep passion for climate action and community-driven initiatives
- Commitment to attending regular board meetings and contributing time and expertise
