Lead Social Compliance Auditor / CSR & ESG Auditor
- Job responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and lead CSR, social compliance and sustainability audits at client sites.
- Conduct assessments against internationally recognized social compliance standards, client requirements and industry-specific codes of conduct.
- Perform ESG and sustainability-related assessments covering areas such as: Environmental performance, Labor practices and human rights, Occupational health & safety, Business ethics, Management systems and compliance.
- Review relevant documents, interview employees and management, conduct site observations and collect objective audit evidence.
- Identify compliance gaps, potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Develop clear, fact-based and practical recommendations for corrective actions and sustainability improvement.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive audit reports within required timelines and quality standards.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations professionally with clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up on corrective action plans and support clients in improving their sustainability and compliance performance.
- Keep up to date with international ESG trends, sustainability regulations, supply-chain requirements and emerging compliance frameworks.
- Participate in auditor calibration, technical discussions, internal training and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies, processes and service quality.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field.
- 2–3+ years of experience in CSR, social compliance auditing, ESG, sustainability assessment or environmental compliance.
- Experience with internationally recognized CSR / ESG / social compliance standards such as BSCI, SMETA, RBA, SA8000, Higg FEM or equivalent.
- Relevant professional certification in social compliance auditing is required; candidates currently pursuing certification may also be considered.
- Strong English communication and report-writing skills; Chinese is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and client-management skills.
- High integrity, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site audits.
