Senior Product Designer
Intro
At Cloover, we're building the operating system for the energy transition — a platform that helps thousands of installation companies across Germany and Austria sell more, plan faster, and deliver better. We're backed by €1.2B in committed funding, recently closed a €22M Series A, and are just getting started on our European expansion.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small, growing design team and take on significant ownership across our core products. This is a high-intensity role in a fast-moving company: the pace is demanding, and the problems are real. This is one of the most interesting design challenges in the climate tech space. You'll be designing for two fundamentally different audiences: trade professionals (installers running their businesses) and homeowners (making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives). You'll work across a B2B web app and a consumer web and mobile product — two very different contexts, interaction models, and levels of technical literacy. In a category where design quality is genuinely low, there's real room to raise the bar.
From your first week, your work will ship to real users and make a tangible difference.
Your mission
We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you've been. Here's what will set you up for success:
Our Hiring Process:
We keep things transparent and respect your time. Here's what to expect:
Intro call (30 min) → Hiring manager interview (30 min) → Case study (1 hour) → Offer & signed contract
Why us?
We believe the energy transition belongs to everyone, and so does our team. At Cloover, we welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, religions and experiences. We hire for potential and perspective, not just credentials.
Don't tick every box? Apply anyway.
If you need any accommodations during the application or interview process, just let us know. We're happy to support you.
About Us
At Cloover, our mission is to empower 1 billion people to be part of a sustainable world — with just one click, no barriers, no compromise. We're building the AI operating system for the energy transition: a platform that supports installation companies across solar, heat pumps, e-mobility, energy renovation, and much more.
Our platform combines software and embedded financing solutions to help installers scale their sales, generate more leads, and run projects more efficiently — while making it easier for households to switch to renewable energy.
We're growing fast, currently active in Germany and Austria, and gearing up to expand into further European markets. We're backed by world-class investors, have $1.2 billion in committed funding, and recently closed a €22 million Series A round. The best part? We're just getting started.

Your mission
- Own product design end-to-end across multiple products and customer types, ensuring clarity, usability, and visual excellence
- Create interactive prototypes in Figma to bring product ideas to life and communicate design intent to engineers and stakeholders
- We're an AI-native team. That means using AI tools as a natural part of how you work — for research, writing, analysis, prototyping, and beyond. Pick your stack; just use it.
- Build and evolve our design system — establishing the foundations of consistency and scalability across all products
- Drive or contribute to user research and usability testing, bringing real user insight into design decisions
- Collaborate closely with PMs and engineers to translate requirements into designs that are ready to ship
- Generate production-ready assets and specifications that developers can use directly
- Maintain a high bar of craft and consistency across all user touchpoints
- Partner closely with the existing designer on the team, sharing ownership across products and contributing to how the design practice evolves
We care more about how you think and what you've built than where you've been. Here's what will set you up for success:
- 5–8 years of experience designing UX and UI for software products — enough to work fully autonomously, raise the bar on craft, and mentor others as the team grows
- A portfolio that shows both the quality of your output and how you think through design problems — process matters as much as polish
- Mastery of Figma and modern prototyping and design tools
- Exceptional UI skills: visual design, layout, typography, and component-level thinking
- Strong experience working with and building design systems from the ground up
- Solid collaboration skills, especially with engineers and product managers
- Based in Berlin and comfortable working in-person — being embedded with the team is central to how we collaborate and build together
- German language proficiency (B2 or above)
- Experience designing for both B2B and consumer audiences
- Exposure to fintech products, onboarding flows, or complex operational tools

Why us?
- Competitive salary, plus performance bonus
- Real ownership from day one — you'll shape both the product and how design works at the company
- A mission that matters: we're helping accelerate the shift to renewable energy, one installer at a time
- Design tooling budget — Figma, user testing tools, and whatever you need to do your best work
- Free Urban Sports Club (M) membership
- Free breakfast and dinner at the office, plus snacks and drinks throughout the day
- Modern office in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg with Apple hardware
- 25 days of paid vacation
- Regular team events to celebrate milestones
- An international team with direct exposure to world-class investors
