Job brief

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex environmental data to support our environmental consulting and research projects. This role requires a strong background in Earth System Science, Atmospheric Science, and experience with environmental data analysis tools and software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis of environmental datasets, including air quality metrics, VOCs emissions, and other relevant environmental factors.
  • Utilize GIS software (ArcGIS) to visualize and map environmental data for reporting and presentation.
  • Apply statistical methods and modeling techniques to interpret environmental data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Assist in the development of reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with environmental consultants and researchers to design and implement data collection strategies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot environmental monitoring equipment, including GC-MS and GC-FID.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in environmental data analysis and apply new techniques to improve data quality and analysis.
  • Contribute to research projects, including the analysis of BVOCs emissions and their impact on air quality and climate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Earth System Science, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science, with a focus on environmental data analysis, preferred.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, ArcGIS, STELLA, Gap Light Analyzer, ImageJ, and other relevant data analysis software.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring equipment, such as Dusttrak DRX, PID, and FID.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to air quality and emissions.
  • Experience with fieldwork and data collection in environmental settings.


Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Environmental Consultant or in a related role.
  • Experience in research or projects related to air quality monitoring, VOCs emissions, and environmental impact assessments.
