Job Decription:

We are looking for an experienced Carbon Project Expert to support the end-to-end development of carbon credit projects (AFOLU/Non-AFOLU) including feasibility assessment, project design, registration, monitoring, verification, and issuance of carbon credits under global carbon standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Carbon Project Development

  • End-to-end development of carbon projects across different sectors , Methodology applicability assessment and feasibility analysis & more.

Additionality Assessment

  • Investment analysis (IRR and sensitivity analysis) , Barrier analysis ,Common practice analysis ,Regulatory surplus and prior consideration assessment.

Carbon Accounting

  • Baseline emissions (BEy) calculation , Project emissions (PEy) calculation , Leakage emissions (LEy) identification , Net emission reductions (ERy) calculation , Application of emission factors (IPCC, grid emission factors).

MRV (Monitoring, Reporting & Verification)

  • Monitoring plan design and parameter identification , Sampling plan development and monitoring report preparation and more.

Technical Documentation

  • Preparation of PDDs, Monitoring Reports, Emission reduction sheets, Additionality reports and leakage assessments Sampling plans and GIS/KML project boundaries , Coordination with VVBs and more.


Eligibility & Experience:


Registry Experience (minimum three mandatory):

  • Verra, Gold Standard, CDM, Article 6.4, Global Carbon Council, Isometric, Puro.earth, Cercarbono & others.

Experience

  • 4–8 years in carbon project development
  • Successful submission of atleast 10+ carbon projects
  • Exposure to AFOLU and Non-AFOLU sectors

Other

  • Methodology applicability assessment
  • MRV framework development
  • GHG inventory preparation (IPCC 2006 & 2019 guidelines)

Software & Tools: QGIS / ArcGIS, remote sensing datasets, GIS mapping for AFOLU projects. 

Education & Qualification:

  • B.Tech / B.E. (Environmental / Energy / Mechanical / Chemical / Forestry).
  • Master’s in Climate Change / Environmental Management.
  • PhD preferred.
  • ISO 14064 certification preferred.
