Climate17 is working with a leading UK low-carbon heat business looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Director as it enters its next stage of growth.
The business designs, delivers, funds, owns and operates heat pump and heat network solutions and is well positioned to capitalise on the continued transition away from fossil-fuel heating across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced commercial professional who can develop senior client relationships, build a strong pipeline and convert significant opportunities into long-term revenue.
Location: Hybrid / Nationwide Travel
Offices: London, Maidenhead & Cheltenham
Travel: Regular UK travel to client meetings, project sites and industry events will be required.
The opportunity:
→ Identify and develop new business opportunities
→ Build senior relationships across the Tier 1 / main contractor market
→ Manage complex, high-value sales opportunities from initial engagement through to close
→ Lead proposals, tenders, presentations and commercial negotiations
→ Develop strategic client accounts and long-term partnerships
→ Work closely with technical, project, marketing and finance teams
→ Help shape commercial strategy within a rapidly growing low-carbon market
We're particularly interested in speaking with people who have:
→ A strong track record in B2B business development or commercial sales
→ Established relationships within Tier 1 / main contractors
→ Experience winning complex and high-value opportunities
→ Strong tender, proposal and negotiation experience
→ Experience within heat networks, heat pumps, energy, M&E, building services or related infrastructure markets would be advantageous
