Climate17 is partnering with a leading international renewable energy EPC provider to appoint a Sales Manager. This role will play a critical part in driving growth across the UK and European markets, with a strong focus on selling EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) services for large-scale solar and energy storage projects.


The Role


This position is focused on originating, developing, and securing EPC contracts. You will work on complex, high-value tenders, managing opportunities from early-stage client engagement through to contract award. A strong understanding of EPC delivery models, commercial structuring, and technical interfaces is essential.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for EPC services within the renewable energy sector
  • Build and expand relationships with key clients, including utilities, IPPs, and asset managers
  • Analyse market trends, regulatory frameworks, and client requirements to inform sales strategy
  • Lead the evaluation and prioritisation of project opportunities and client pipelines
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through to contract signature
  • Take ownership of complex EPC tender processes, coordinating technical and commercial inputs
  • Develop and manage high-quality proposals, ensuring alignment between engineering, commercial, and delivery teams
  • Act as the key interface between clients and internal teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered
  • Define and review technical and commercial project requirements with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and construction teams
  • Support contract negotiations and commercial structuring of EPC agreements
  • Maintain strong key account relationships and identify repeat business opportunities


About You


You’ll be a commercially driven sales professional with a strong track record in renewable energy and a deep understanding of EPC contracting and tendering processes.


  • Proven experience in EPC sales within renewable energy (solar PV and/or battery storage preferred)
  • Strong experience managing complex tenders and bid processes
  • Background in working with utilities, IPPs, or large energy/infrastructure clients
  • Experience in contract negotiation, commercial structuring, and pricing
  • Solid understanding of technical project components and how they translate into commercial offers
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Degree in a commercial, technical, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
